Love this. Yesterday, I did a brain dump and out came a post. I'll have to try some of these other more intentional journaling techniques. Thanks!

Love that! Brain dumps are such a great way to clear the mind. Definitely give the other techniques a go too.

"Great introduction for journaling...

and I like that "Script Journaling" concept in it.

“Visualisation + Mafestation” in a subtle fresh practice…" and that's how I posted it.

Thank you for this clear introduction about journaling...

PS: I am gonna try that "Script Journaling" for sure

I’m a big fan of brain dumping and also jotting down a couple of sentences about meaningful things that happened that day. Always fun to go back and look at those.

Yes, exactly. Getting it out first and then noticing what mattered really changes how you remember your day

Great way to use journaling from different perspectives. I recommend journing as a self understanding builder for leadership action learning. This is a great enrichment for consideration! Thanks I will pass it on!

What a post Salma!

I have a daily journaling practice and have realized...

When your thoughts are everywhere?

It’s hard to get the proper rest (because your mind is all over the place).

And when you give yourself the opportunity of journaling?

You create a safe "space" where you're able to dump your thoughts down on paper - and let go.

Exactly this. Getting thoughts out of the mind and onto paper changes the quality of rest so much. Appreciate you sharing your experience.

Great post!

'Journaling isn’t about becoming someone else it’s about coming back to yourself' - I couldn't agree more! Useful prompts and I enjoyed reading this!

Thanks so much. I’m glad this resonated with you🤍

Enjoyed this post, Salma. I’ve been journaling for years and have found that I naturally use a mixture of these techniques based on what I need. My favourite is scripting as it’s just so much fun!

Thanks so much 🤍 I think most people naturally blend different approaches depending on the season they’re in. Scripting is one of my favourites too.
