Stop Searching for Your Purpose
How your current season is quietly guiding you
I’m sure you’ve asked yourself, “What’s my purpose?”
This question has been on my mind for years. And if I’m honest, it was exhausting.
Thinking about the same thing over and over, yet feeling like I wasn’t getting anywhere. I lived with self-inflicted pressure and a constant lack of clarity. I looked at people I was inspired by and wondered what I was doing wrong. Why did it seem so clear for them, but not for me?
Then I had a realisation: Maybe my purpose wasn’t something to find. Maybe it was already unfolding.
The Myth of Purpose as a Destination
I grew up believing that purpose was a job - that creative job I had always admired.
We’re taught that one job + one passion = purpose. That once we find it, it will bring us happiness.
I looked at people living what I thought was their dream and thought, Wow, they’ve made it. But then I’d look at my own life and ask, Why not me?
I was working hard. I was giving it my best. Yet somehow, it felt like I was moving ten steps backwards.
After some reflection, I began to notice a pattern.
I was always living in the future, focused on what I wanted next while neglecting my present moment.
That’s when I realised something important: Purpose is not a single point. It’s a series of small moments that shape us.
The Present Moment as the Teacher
My current life was not a placeholder.
It was teaching me something every day, I just wasn’t paying attention.
Our everyday experiences quietly shape:
Boundaries - what feels too much and we don’t want to tolerate
Values - what matters to you, often revealed through discomfort
Self-trust - built each time you listen to your intuition
what you don’t want, just as much as what you do want
These daily lessons are not random. They are shaping you into the person who can hold your purpose.
Personal Reflection
I always knew I was drawn to creativity. I listened to podcasts, read the books and took the courses.
But I wasn’t letting life unfold naturally.
I wasn’t allowing my present moment to become my teacher.
Now, I reflect on what each season is showing me. I integrate the lessons, and I move forward with the trust that everything is leading me somewhere, even if I can’t see the full picture or understand it properly.
You’re Exactly Where You’re Meant to Be
You’re not stuck and you’re not behind.
Sometimes, we need a shift in our perspective.
You might be thinking about your purpose too but the real work is learning to be present in your daily life. Because life is always teaching you something.
Purpose often reveals itself after we’ve lived through the lesson.
This took me ages to learn.

Trust Your Progress
Finding your purpose isn’t a quick fix.
You don’t need to escape your present moment to be on track. You are already moving towards it, whether you realise it or not.
Sometimes, all that’s need to do is pause and reflect. Or take an honest look at your current reality.
That’s where clarity begins and purpose unfolds 🤍

So important to appreciate the present moment and be able to recognize the importance of this moment even if it doesn't scream any loud wins. Quiet wins are what leads to the big wins anyways.
the childhood bit made me nostalgic. like… i really did believe everything was possible before the world told me to be “realistic.”
