All good tips I’d say tho I’d also say… sometimes when things feel off, and particularly when you can’t see the wood from the trees… it’s helpful to just walk away for a while.
I love this quick check‑in. As someone who writes about midlife and does my own regular “joy check-ins,” these questions really resonate, especially “Where am I abandoning myself to keep someone else comfortable?” That one hit home. I’m saving this to use alongside my own check‑ins when life starts to feel a little off. Thank you for putting such clear language around what alignment can look like in everyday life.
The question about whether my calendar reflects what I say matters most really made me pause. It's easy for good intentions to drift if they never make it onto the calendar.
A good checkin where I'm seeing that I'm overcommitting to things once again, not leaving enough time for myself to rest and recover. Keeping myself too busy to sit with my uncomfortable thoughts. Will see how I can adjust this over the next couple of weeks to reset and put myself first.

True - stepping away for a while can be just as important as reflecting.
This is a great check-in tip. It goes with my note this morning about checking in honestly with yourself not with assumptions.
Thank you 🫶 I love that. Honest check-ins can make such a difference.

All excellent questions.
Love how small and practical this was!
I like this approach Salma. A minute of honest reflection can save a lot of time spent moving in the wrong direction.
Exactly! sometimes we just need to check in with ourselves before we take action.
These are great self-reflective question - like coaching questions that make you think and get clear about what you are doing. Well done!
Thanks so much 🤍 hoping these questions create a little more clarity.
Thanks Salma
Great questions
